Glenfield sits just west of Leicester and is one of the city’s most popular suburban villages, with new build developments continuing to emerge on the outer edges of the settlement and along key routes towards the M1. If you’ve recently received the keys to a new build in Glenfield, Koti Homes is right on your doorstep — we’re based in Wigston, Leicester and specialise exclusively in flooring for new build homes. Whether your property is a compact two-bed starter home or a spacious family detached, we’ll help you choose the right flooring for every room and install it professionally, on time and within budget.
Why LVT Is the Best Choice for Your New Build in Glenfield
For new builds in Glenfield, LVT — Luxury Vinyl Tile — is consistently Koti Homes’ first recommendation. The case is compelling: LVT is 100% waterproof, meaning it can go in every room including kitchens, bathrooms, en suites and utility rooms.LVT has a lifespan of approximately 20 years with minimal maintenance. New builds in Glenfield typically include underfloor heating, and LVT is fully compatible. It replicates wood and stone finishes convincingly, is comfortable underfoot, and is easy to keep clean. Explore our full flooring options to find your perfect LVT. We fit glue-down LVT from Invictus, Karndean, Amtico, J2 Flooring and Brampton Chase.
Carpets for New Builds in Glenfield
Carpet brings softness and warmth to a new build, particularly in bedrooms, staircases and landing areas. Koti Homes offers a well-curated selection from quality brands including Abingdon, Invictus and Cormar. Twist pile is our recommendation for stairs and hallways — it’s durable, resilient against heavy traffic, and ideal for families with children or pets. Saxony’s deep pile creates a luxurious feel in bedrooms that turns an ordinary room into a retreat. Loop pile provides a neat, contemporary texture that’s smart and practical in living areas. Abingdon’s Stainfree range is a particular favourite, offering a lifetime stain guarantee that provides real peace of mind. Carpet can be fitted the day after key handover, alongside your LVT. Check our carpet FAQ for more detail.
Bathroom Vinyl
For bathrooms and en-suites we fit sheet vinyl from Polyflor and Comfytex: fully waterproof, warm underfoot and easy to clean. Koti fits glue-down LVT and carpet throughout the rest of the house. We don’t fit click LVT, laminate or tiles.

Yes — Koti Homes covers Glenfield and the wider Midlands. We specialise exclusively in new build properties and can start fitting the day after you receive your keys.
How soon can flooring be fitted after moving into a new build?
We can start fitting the day after key handover. We prepare the subfloor with a damp-proof membrane and levelling compound first, so there’s no need to wait.
